Just like everyone else in January, I joined a new gym for my resolution to get in shape for 2013! I already have like a million spandex leggings that I have made, so I needed some workout tops to wear.
I used this Sleeveless Jersey Top pattern. I really liked the gathers in this top since they are so flattering! In the pattern instructions it says to gather each front separately and then sew together, but in stead I basted the center front seam together first and then serged together with an elastic. I stretched the elastic as I serged it in to make the gathers.
I made this top in limegreen and grey tie-dye spandex. I also cut the front bust facing in limegreen so it peeked through at the top. The neckline is finished with a facing, but I bound the armholes in the grey tie-dye. The seams are all serged and I overlocked the hemline and binding.
This top is really bright, and I love how it turned out! I will definitely be making more of these tanks in different colors.

Very funky, I love it. Almost too nice to work out in. I’m a Personal Trainer so if you need any tips… ha ha! Good luck with the training. Make more tops to stay motivated.
