Readers of the Orphan Tales books will appreciate the title of this skirt. In Catherynne M. Valente’s book The Orphan Tales, Vol. II: In the Cities of Coin and Spice, there live these faun-like creatures who lure humans to their dances from which they never return. A bit of a morbid name for a skirt but I was definitely inspired by the book to name it after them.
I used BurdaStyle’s Linda pattern. Due to the very stretchy nature of the fabric I inserted elastic through the waistband for a better fit (plus I hate zippers :P). I also shortened by a couple inches.
I really love wearing this skirt! And at a total cost of about $3, makes it a very welcome addition to my closet. I had wanted to get some great outdoor photos of it but it being all of 8 degrees today, I’m going to stay inside! Have a good day everyone!

That has a really nice fit, which can be tricky with skirts. :)
