I made the Heidi dress out of Liberty print cotton poplin, leaving out the belt (I wear it with a wide leather belt instead). Loved this pattern, but I had to make my usual modification to account for my nonexistent hips, and I also shortened the skirt by about 5 inches. I lined it with a brown polycotton and it’s extremely comfortable.

i love this print, and the neckline is so flattering – you’ve done it so neatly.

Question for you, are the bust tucks really that large or did you modify the pattern? The reason I ask is I have just cut out this pattern in my muslin fabric and I don’t want tucks that large. I love your fabric choice, mine is going to be a little dressier.

hi, yes the bust tucks are quite big, I wasn’t sure about it when I made it up, but I quite like them. for a dressier look you could change them to darts?
