I made this little jacket for a design assignment at the Uni. The idea was that I would create a garment for a fictional client. My client was a woman (20 yrs old) from a dark future. Unknown year though.
The Jacket would reflect what it would be like to live in the future. What design qualities was needed to make the jacket withstand all types of weather, and also perhaps some awesome fights in the concrete jungle? The jacket has a feminine cut, long sleeves and a high collar. The Jacket is made of wool and the lining is made of polyester. I cut out the back and put in a window of hand-dyed silk. I do not know why I did not do the jacket longer. It is not directly useful, given that it will not protect from neither weather nor bar fights. It is more design than practical. I really should have got an F on this task….
But I love it anyway! :)
