This bird has an incredibly fun kitchy style. I love the funny eyes, and the awesome old 70s floral print, with some sweet butterflies thrown in. The features were hand-painted, and heat-set, so they won’t run in the wash. The paint I used is non-toxic, so that’s cool too. The body was hand-drawn, hand-stuffed, and hand-sewn! This birdie is truly a labor of love. <3
He’s a big boy, measuring 22 inches from beak to bum, and about 16 inches from top to bottom! Also, near the wing he measures 23 inches around.

I really love this- it’s kitchsy-cool, you’re right! I like birdie’s expression. The fabric print reminds me of 70’s-era bedsheets, is that what you used?
