I wanted to give my friend something useful as a baby shower gift and I remembered when I had my first how impossible it was to find a nice looking nappy bag without a hefty price attached (I looked on ebay just before and there was one for $350 that someone had bid on). So I decided to make one.
I made the pattern myself out of newspaper cuttings. The pattern itself was pretty straight forward, I just had to put my brain on when it came to the construction as some pieces have to be put together before others or it just gets messy!
The bag has two outer pockets on each side for bottles, an inside zipper pocket, an inside phone pocket and an internal divider.
I’m very happy with the result!
Outer bag & straps – upholstery fabric
Lining/pockets – cotton/poplin material scraps
1 x metal zip from an old pair of shorts
2 x metal press studs

Love it! My baba is 6 months now and I’ve been putting off getting a nappy bag due to prohibitive cost. You’ve inspired me, thanks a mill :)
