Description

I found this fabric in my mum’s stash and thought it would make a great top to either wear with jeans or with black pants or a skirt to the office. Being a novice, I foolishly thought I could cut the fabric using one of my singlets as a template. This might not have been such a crazy idea but given the singlet was stretchy and my fabric was not…well, it was a wee bit too small for me. Luckily, Mum came to my rescue and helped me attach some extra fabric at the back. It’s actually worked out really well as I love the button detail on the back and I learned how to actually do button holes. Double bonus!

Material Notes

I think it’s mostly cotton but it has a little bit of stretch in it. The buttons are mother of pearl.

looks great, your mums idea of the button placket to enlarge it slightly works well.
