Burda Style For people who sew
Description
this is a pillow i made again for christmas. it is quite simple to be done; you need to do a plain cushion first (this is a 50 × 50 cm big cushion in dark green velvet) and create a picture you like on the front. in this case i made the face of a happy snowman in apliqué technique. i used white cotton for the face, an orange scrap of linen for the nose, dark grey wool scraps for a hat and a little christmasprint scrap for a bow. additionally to this, a few trimmings and embroidery-thread plus a layer of soft fibre to give the picutre a bit more “depth”.
the last decoration part are the little wool-balls in red and green i used for the corners of the pillow and one, for the bow decor. et voilâ! here is frosty and says hello!
