The last 2 photos are what this dress looks like before I transformed it.
I bought these maxis for $9.95 each. The green one is a medium, the coral is small. The green one is expectedly bigger on me. I had to chop a fair bit on the straps where I reconstructed the racerback structure using wide crochet lace from my stock. I’m still thinking whether to chop off a bit form the hem or not.
The coral one is currently in the process of transformation.

Indeed, crochet or lace details are really everywhere and they seem a bit too expensive sometimes. That’s why I consider the $9.95 maxi and some sewing time worth it.
