This dove gray silk frock was made to be worn for a friends wedding. The dress pattern itself is very basic but I added a shock twist by cutting a sheer layer to float over the top and give it a more formal look. This made the ‘Very Easy Vogue’ pattern ‘Very Traumatic’ because I hadn’t really thought out how I would manage the zip closure. Add to that the fact I spilled oil on it the night before the wedding only to have it shrink when I washed it. I have to say it wasn’t the funnest project I’ve ever done but it didn’t turn out too badly all things considered!
Material Notes
Dark gray polyester, sheer fabric sold to me as 'silk' but i doubt it, 14" zipper, hook and eye
