I made this fancy frilly skirt for my vanity table. It has a gathered sheer underskirt that matches the sheers I made for the window in the room. A blue middle layer picks up the color of my wall. And the brown silky over skirt is made from some store bought curtains that had left over from a previous decorating jag. I cut a sort of Moroccan scallop by using dinner plates to trace half circles. I read about making clean tight corners by decreasing the stitch length as you approach the corner. this allowed me to really push my point turner tool up into the points, without pushing through the seam and ruining it. I’m so pleased with how it turned out. These are the best corners I’ve ever done.
Sheer curtain fabric, store bought imitation silk curtains from Walmart.
