I just loved this fabric the first time I saw it and I have seen tops and dresses made from this fabric. It has layers and layers of soft frills. Although for me an all over dress or top even with a panel of the fabric was just not working :-/ so although I loved it – it got put aside for a while.
Then I got the idea I would only use only part of the fabric to make something and as The Big Bead Show, Surrey, UK was coming up it was a great excuse to design an outfit for me to wear on the day. Something quick to make and comfortable was the look I was going for.
So Sew Stitch Sew time – ‘Frilly Lizzy’ was born and I love it now, I have the same fabric in Baby Pink mmmmm another one me thinks!
When I wear this shrug, I feel like doing a shimmy shimmy dance when I walk! :-)
