Description

Baby dress with frills….I didnt have a pattern for this dress and no longer have any young children in the house to use another dress as a template so I winged it……..based on a square yoke style with short set in sleeves the dress is fully lined and has a frilled petticoat attached….basically I made two skirts on frilled with the same material as the dress and the ther with the trim as seen….the sleeves are trimmed with the eyelet part of the trim and an organza ribbon has been threaded through this also helps to adjust the fit of the sleeve! and finishes the shoulder with a bow….I may change the ribbon as this on is a little wide!

I also used some of the eyelet trim to make a belt I first made a backing using the white material and then sewed on the eyelet I finished this with the same organza ribbon tied in a bow!
the dress is fastened at the back with a lightweight zip. I also made the dress so that there are no seams that sit next to babies skin…..something I have never tried to do before.
