This is a T-shirt that I made from scratch a year ago, (I just drew around one of my fave fitting t-shirts for the shape) but the neck sat strangely and i couldn’t think of how to make it work in my favour enough to want to wear it….
Then I recently bought some amazing fabric with pleated frills sewn in scallop shapes all over it which I used to make a skirt, and I had the idea that I could use the left over frills to make a bib detail on the front of this t-shirt!
I am happy to say that it worked and I am really pleased with the outcome, one of my colleagues was so impressed she said she thought I had bought it from a shop because it was “So well finished”!
What a lovely compliment to have for a home-made garment :)
Black Jersey, Power-mesh for the sleeves, frilly remnants for the bib detail.
