A little pleated skirt made using Simplicity 6896, view C. The fabric was white, but got dyed this gorgeous, vivid orange last year. I had seen a skirt in the Boden catalogue with a French Knot border and figured I’d make one myself! The invisible zip is blue too, and there is a contrast blue and orange plaid fabric as the facing to the waistband. I have shortened the pattern to Daughter No2’s requirements, but after we were out and about yesterday with the breeze, we have decided that any future makes will need to be about 5cm longer!
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
