I am so excited to b able to share this with everyone. I have recently created a PDF pattern for a button down peplum blouse – in fact it is the first PDF pattern I have ever made – so be nice :D
This is a perfect top for the autumn, especially when you team it with a little cardigan. the key features include a button down front and little pleats under the bust and center back. the peplum falls from the waist.
It is in a single size – what I would consider a size 12.
Bust – 40 inches
Waist 32 inches
However, there is quite a bit of ease due to the style of the pattern allowing for an extra couple of inches in both bust and waist, and at the same time the bust and back pleats are easily adapted to make the pattern an inch or two smaller. So have some fun with it and see what works, just remember to pin first, sew later! :D
I have also made the decision to add an extra inch in the front peplum pattern pieces. The reason for this was I found that, depending on the thickness of your fabric, the pleats, particularly in the front, sometimes needed to be altered to suit. To allow for any last minute fitting changes I found that this extra inch in the front of the peplum proved to be very useful, and can be easily removed once you are certain of the fitting by simply trimming it down before stitching the button placket in place.
There are plenty more details over on my blog so please go and check it out :D
