Since I’m a huge Batman fan – don’t care about the movies but love love love the comics – I always wanted to sew something batty. I stumbled upon this simple Batman T-Shirt on a field trip to Rome and bought it for 8€.
Back home again, I used the front of the shirt for the back of the vest and added a hood with those ear-things Batman has on his hood, too.

I used the Lydia Hoodie pattern for the hood.
For the pointed ears, I cut 3 triangles out of the black fabric, sewed them together and filled it with fiberfill. I sewed them onto the black part of the hood before I sewed the black and yellow part together.
