This is my brunette version of She-ra, Princess of Power! (He-man’s twin sister).
I used Simplicity pattern 2250, a Cynthia Rowley design. I nixed the straps, shortened it up and voila! The bodice has a ridiculous amount of pleating, but unfortunately I didn’t get a good closeup of it. The whole costume is made out of satin. The front design is just a foam sheet cut into the appropriate “leaf” shapes and covered with gold fabric. I also made the crown by covering foam with the gold fabric. For the cape, I cut a big half circle, hemmed it, and added the cold fabric choker. I had to make some accessory changes for comfort reasons, but I am proud. :)
White, gold and red satin.
