I made this shirt for a lovely boys birthday. We havent been together for too long or anything, so trying to figure out something to buy him was mind boggling….dont want to buy him something he’s never going to use…blah blah blah.
So i stole his favorite shirt and made a pattern from that one exactly. I bought two different types of checked fabric (it was kinda expensive actually :o…) and used the contrast for the pocket, back yoke, cufs and top collar.
I made this shirt over a night and a morning and i am super super happy with how it turned out! And none of it was nearly as difficult as i thought it would be, and it didnt take nearly as long as i thought it would. All in all a win of an outcome. actually i might not even give it to him tomorrow, because i like it too much!
I also added a little tag with ‘for ferlitsch’ (his last name) and a <3 katie below it. they didnt out fantasticly. but i was a bit pushed for time considering ive been spending way too much of it with him lately.
oops.

Oh I love it! What fabulous fabric! I would totally wear it myself. Maybe you have enough fabric left to make him a handkerchief instead? :-)
