Try the garment on as- is. Approximate where you want stability in the shirt between your armhole and your side seam and pin it. Remove the shirt and sew a good 1" or 2" seam on both sides. This will allow more flow in the garment.

Yes, those are the stitches. You can sew there approximately or wherever you want the blouse to fit you properly. You’d want to ensure that you can move comfortably.
