I finally found a home for the black contour bust that I made recently!
I had some charcoal cotton/rayon(?) jersey material, which i just loved the feel of due to its flow, but have been indecisive as to how to use it as I am a novice and have never worked with this kind of fabric.
I didn’t have a pattern for the skirt, I just cut out the material of the length from waist to floor high and three times the width of my waist, then just cut out a concave arc for the front piece and added a convex arc shape for the back. Folded the fabric into pleats before attaching to the bodice, then layered a shorter piece inside the front for a kind of tiered effect.
Absolutely loved the jersey fabric, definitely looking forward to making more dresses out of them, they can look so elegant!
Cotton/Rayon(I think) Jersey for the dress… not sure for the bodice, something that stretches one way but not the other way..?
