I decided to use an old table cloth I found at a thrift store to make a dress. For the bodice I used the pattern from my Cinderella project and a gathered square for the skirt. I improvised the sleeves, and tried my best to match the pattern of the fabric. I think it turned out pretty well. I apologize for the poor quality of the images.

You chose the perfect pattern and your own innovation for the skirt for this tablecloth. Well done!

Awesome job. I love it.. I see table cloths in the op shops and think of making dresses with them though I always end up talking myself out of it..

You should try it! Making things from thrift shops are the best because even if it doesn’t turn out the way you wanted, you’ve only wasted maybe 5$ I’m sure you could make something cool if you tried it!

Really nicely done! It’s touches like fabric pattern matching that really make a garment, and you did a great job!

Wonderful idea and I particularly like the matching of the print on the back view. It must have been a large tablecloth !

Thanks! It actually wasn’t a very big table cloth, i had to attach extra fabric at the bottom of the skirt to make it long enough to not show things that shouldn’t be shown haha.
