Description

This is a blouse I made by altering a Built by Wendy pattern from her Sew U book. I lowered the neckline, drafted a Peter Pan collar, and drafted tulip sleeves. I used French seams for the first time, and bound the neckline facing with bias tape. I also did a hand rolled hem on the sleeves and a lot of basting by hand to get things to turn out right. Almost everything did! Can you spot the error? More on my blog here: http://errantpear.blogspot.com/

Material Notes

linen cotton blend, shell buttons, bias tape

Thanks! The fabric came out of the remnant bin at Joann’s, of all places. I was almost able to squeeze this blouse out from a single yard, but I had to go back for a little more to do the sleeves.
