First skirt ever that I made on my own from A to Z! I am so happy with it… The shape is a classic 50’s shape and I literally felt in love with the fabric.
It comes high around the waist with a big black belt. It has underlining with tulle that comes out slightly at the bottom. Finally I got a bit carried away and added some spakles on the hem (see details photo. I am not too sure how they are actually called!)
I will wear it at a friends wedding this weekend. I just cant wait!
I did make a pattern for it but will not put it on as it was completely wrong and i ended up having to change it all as I was going! (It was my first try!)
Heavy cotton, underlining fabric and tulle
I already had the black belt
