Flowered Top Burda 01/2011 #129

Chemainus, Canada

Well designed top to wear for casual or fancy. Comfortable jersey that hangs nicely and feels so soft. I choose to make the sleeves short for the warmer months. I did have to decrease the centre front width by 1/2", otherwise it gaped to much for my liking. I took some construction pictures if anyone decides to make it and has problems figuring out how to attach the correct part of the back to the front.

That top is so flattering on you, I have a similar body shape…so would love to make it…it’s now on my list, thanks for sharing! x

Thanks! Hope to see your version soon. I did have to add some length to it. There is a similar top in April 2014, but it has the cut on sleeves, such as the Portrait top. (The portrait top, in my opinion, needs an hourglass figure…. To bad I have another one cut out).

Thank you :-) The neckline is what caught my attention. I’m glad I had enough fabric for it. I forgot to mention, that I added some length to the top. I was invited to participate in a Pantone on-line live focus group in 40 minutes. I’ll wear this top for it. Looking forward to seeing your version.

Rita you look lovely. I love the neckline on this and it just looks so fresh with the white trousers. Fab fabric choice as well. Love this x ♥

Thank you! I had a hard time deciding which fabric I was going to use for it. I’ve had this in my stash waiting for the right design. Now we need sun, so I can even out those vacation tan lines!!!

A great design: the neckhole is very flattering, and the fabric is pretty.

Thank you! I’ll have to work on those tan lines of mine though.
