Description

My first trouser project and jumpsuit project, all in one!

After shopping around for a floral jumpsuit, I have decided that it is easier to make my own. The pattern is simplistic, easy to follow. The project helped me get over the trouser making phobia. I am really pleased with the result, and it also gave me the opportunity to practice my shirring.

The top part ties at the back. Ties were made as spaghetti straps from the same material.

Notions:
silk cotton – Fenwick’s
Jewellery: dragonfly motif matching earrings and long necklace – 14k gold and pearls from Obsidian art. Matching vintage dragonfly brooch
Gold Shoes: Love Moschino
Sunglasses: Love Moschino
Watch: Just Cavalli
Purple ribbon for leg detail: John Lewis haberdashery
Gold heart pins – Trimmings

Material Notes

silk cotton , ribbon

Firstly, apologies for my absence. I have been so busy setting up my own law firm! I do miss my sewing :-) With the buttonholes, you are at the hand of your sewing machine. I still can make two identical ones, so you are not alone! as far as the shirring is concerned, this project uses an easier method in my view. You hold the elastic over the shirring line and ziz zaz over it. At the end, just pull the elasticated cord to desired length. It worked for me!!
