This dress is made out of the bodice from BWOF 101-02-2011 and Pattern runway’s Gathered Sundress Pattern
The amount of muslins and alterations I had to make to get the bodice to fit just right is INSANE, but I am so happy with the result, it was all worth it in the end.
I added red piping to the neckline, armholes and pockets to add some contrast. I found the original Burda skirt a bit ‘meh’ so the PR skirt with pockets was perfect for my use of piping.

Your dress has turned out so well and it fits you perfectly. I too have made this dress and when I made it I thought about piping the neck line and armholes but I didn’t. I wish I had as it needs some stability and I am not 100% happy with it. Maybe I will unpick it and add the piping as you have done. All of your hard work of fitting and piping has really paid off.

Thank you! The piping does add a little extra difficulty, especially when having to un-do seams, but I’m really happy that I added it.
