When my daughter got too big to slip the flour sack sheath dress from 2009 over her head any more I decided to remake it.
I bought some pink cotton broadcloth that was similar in weight to the four sack fabric, and added a zipper to the back. I cut off the skirt of the sheath dress and made a new skirt out of the broadcloth with contrasting inverted pleats cut out of the old flour sack skirt.
I lined the bodice with the broadcloth and ironed the neck and sleeves so that the broadcloth shows like a trim. I added blue flower lace to the neckline and waist.
