Description

McCall’s 6842 Version B but cut length A (Hope I’m not kidding myself wearing a mini?) 
I know you aren’t supposed to after a certain age (not telling how old I’m am) suffice to say I should know better!
I love this skirt so sew much; it’s simple and can be dressed up. Endless mixing and matching of fabrics.
1st version is with my beloved leftover ponti. I omitted a zip since fabric had good amount of stretch and added a wide elasticated band.

2nd version made from vintage fabric from (Retro Age Vintage Fabric) 70’s print http://www.vintagefabrics.com.au/

The top I’m wearing is made from a 1950’s romper. I started making the romper but gave up with the shorts part since they were so big and just went with making a separate top (need more tops anyway).
The initial design was with shoulder straps but thought I’d add a bit of pizzazz with a crossover front.

Material Notes

1 mtr ponti
1 cotton
25cm Invisible zip
Interfacing
Top – polished cotton 1/2 mtr
opened ended side zip

The skirts are brilliant and you’ve definitely got the legs for mini skirts!
