I found the instructions for this dress quite difficult to follow at times; but I’m happy with how it’s turned out in the end. Because I’m not very tall, I shortened the length of the bodice and skirt. I also had to shorten the shoulders, because they are always too long on me. I didn’t cut the skirt pieces quite as wide as the pattern was because I realised my fabric wasn’t wide enough. But I’m glad I didn’t because the skirt is still very full. I left out the waist tie and pockets.
It’s winter here, so I wear it with tights and a jacket. But I think I’ll still wearing it in spring!
I used a soft navy cotton with a floral print.

Beautiful! I think it’s a great winter dress, it would go perfectly with a simple black cardigan.
