Floral Tea Blouse

Added Apr 19, 2012

Minneapolis, Uni...

A blouse I made from a 1950’s Vogue pattern. I absolutely loved making this blouse and ensuring that the inside is just as clean and neat as the outside. This is actually a wearable muslin because it was my first time grading a pattern to fit and I wanted to make sure that I was delighted with the fit before I made it from some silk in my stash. I’m happy to report that I am satisfied with the fit, so a silk version is sure to follow (though it likely won’t be any time soon).

Beautifully done! I love the combination of a classy pattern with a playful fabric. If this is the muslin, then I can’t wait to see the real one!

So kind of you to say so! Thanks for the compliment. I hope to make the silk one in the fall.

This is a very lovely blouse and I am sure you will use this pattern again and again as it will never go out of fashion.

Can I like this one twice?! I know it’s your muslin but it is fantastic! The fit and attention to detail is right on the spot. Using a vintage or retro pattern is so much fun and you made it come to life with style.
