I love this skirt – it’s made of dusty pink floral linen that I found for next to nothing at a small fabric shop in the middle of town. The roll was all dusty and hidden under lots of other fabric but I saw potential! The skirt has a band that sits on my hips and a gathered skirt beneath that. It is lined in pink polycotton. I sewed copper sequins on all the bunches of flowers – this took forever but it was worth it. I tried to wear it to church tonight but alas my 22 week old baby is growing fast and the zip doesn’t go up…..I hope to wear it again next year!

I love the fabric that you used to make this! It’s a really pretty color for the delicate pattern.

Hey, that’s a lovely skirt!
I used to have a dress made out of sequined/embroidered linen. I didn’t pay much attention when ironing the dress, and all sequins melted out :-[. I hope you won’t repeat my mistake. Maybe you already had that on your mind?
