Description

Finally after my sister’s persuasion (and commission), I decided to give polyester suit making a try! Neither of us are string bikini gals. We like more coverage/support. So we decided on a retro swimsuit design. This design requires much more work than your typical lycra swimsuit. Why? Because the fabric is cotton (with some polyester) and not stretchy, so the fit must be exact. In addition, I’ve also added boning to the cups and side. So stinkin cute! Have you worn it in the water yet? Just curious as to how the cotton reacts and how it feels!

Thanks Kelly! It’s finally warm outside, so I was able to test it in the sun and chlorine! It worked really well! I’m posting my second bustier top later today or tomorrow!

Thanks! I’m not sure if the v is meant to be there..but I guess that’s what happens when I don’t use the directions!

Thanks Mary! And yes they would. I made some high waisted cotton ones and they didn’t turn out, so I ended up doing simple turquoise bikini bottoms. When I get more matching fabric, I’ll make a matching high waisted skirt!
