This top was adapted from a Prima magazine peplum dress pattern where I ommited the skirt. As I’m not the brain of britain I forgot that an 11 inch zip will not get the top over my head. The solution I came up with was to use an openended zipper? A hoody zipper basically, as thats the only way I could think of to get it on and off. As prima patterns’ smallest size is a 10 I always have to make a mock up to figure out how to get it down to a 6. (English sizing this is) The neck line could do with being lower, but I’m not entirely sure how to acomplish that with a facing to deal with as well. All in all, it’s an ideal top for sixth form, and I expect to wear it a lot next year.
Floral cotton and pillowcase for underlining.
