been in a mood for pants lately!
this is my test or muslin version for pattern no 106, from burda magazine (12/2013)
i plan to make a pair in wool or jacquard
but before i cut into a fancy fabric
i wanted to give it a try in floral cotton, that i got from a remnant box
and paid 1 euro for it
i skipped the front fly zipper and added invisible zip at the center back seam
but i forgot to apply those changes to the waistband,
so my nicely interfaced and sewed waistband had to go to the garbage
and since i run out of fabric
i used bias tape to finish the waistline
(that, of course has made my pockets a bit smaller
but i can still use them, so everything’s fine)
i’m actually surprised how comfy these pants are!
i’ve been wearing skirts and dresses almost exclusevly for years now
and one of the main reasons is that i find them way more comfy than pants
but this pair of pants is actually way more comfortable than bunch of the skirts i have

1m floral cotton fabric (with just a little bit stretch to it)
