I made the shorts version of the Janina (8087) pants for my eldest daughter. We didn’t have a zip but plenty of wide elastic so we reduced the seam allowance over the hips and waist and put elastic in the back of the pants. We sewed up the front as you would do for a normal pair of zipperless pants. She says that they are comfy and hasn’t taken them off since the last fitting. I found the shorts to be a little long for her, but that could be because she is still growing. I skipped the pockets on the back because I was feeling a little lazy also.
blue and yellow floral cotton, wide elastic
