My second time using re-released vintage Butterick pattern B5281 from 1946. This time round, I used a light, floaty fabric, which has allowed the draping and gathers of the pattern to flow as they should.
This one’s an interesting fit – semi-fitted bodice, then a fitted waist dropping into an A-line skirt.
I lined it fully in a soft buttery yellow, so it looks like spring sunshine on the inside and makes me smile. :-)
There are more details on my blog .
Lightweight synthetic (I’m not sure what it is, perhaps vintage? I picked it up second-hand), and lining.
