This is Vogue 8446, made for a wedding. I cut a 6 and then made a 1" FBA, which was a bit tricky due to the side pleats (I left in the horizontal dart, and moved the side pleats down to reflect the new lower bust point). Once that was done, the fit was great and I didn’t change anything else other than to take about 4cm from the length of the skirt. The bodice is lined in cotton lawn, with a matching skirt slip. I’ve also made a net crinoline but haven’t had the courage to wear the whole lot yet!
Thick-ish printed polyester. I wouldn’t buy this again – it’s slippery, thick, frays and is just generally a nightmare to handle. But I love the print and have quite a lot of it left, hmm dilemma. The lining is black cotton lawn.
We're wishing Meg a happy birthday with 50% off her favorite patterns.
