I made these floral side zip capri pants from New Look pattern 6130. They were very easy to sew and only took a few hours to put together.
I was unsure about the loud floral print, but thought they would be fun and colorful for summer. I really bought the fabric at 50% off for a “wearable muslin” to see how they would fit, and I have to say, they fit pretty well. I did have to taper in the waist two sizes down to fit my waist, but that was an easy fix.
I have gotten many compliments on these pants since I have made them, but most compliments were from older ladies, you know, the kind of ladies who like to quilt and knit and so forth. But then, my husband even said “they are cute!”, so I suppose that they are OK :)
