I made this for a wedding I was attending in November. I found the floral silk at Spotlight for $16.99/m which seemed amazing!! I contemplated using a better quality lace but time got the better of me. This dress highlighted the difference between buying clothes and making clothes when I did a fitting of the dress to discover that the bodice was the same colour as my skin. Oops!! But I like it just the same. I drafted a basic scoop necked bodice and made a simple gathered skirt. It is fully lined, however I was hand sewing in the lining at midnight before the wedding.
