Description

I am so in love with this top! It’s my favorite thing I’ve made, and my favorite new item in my wardrobe! I used Simplicity 3956, view E for the top. It’s a simple summer tank with amazing drape, but what really made this garment was the fabric. It’s such a yummy vibrant green and pink! It was a splurge for me at $13 a yard, but it was certainly worth it.

I really recommend the pattern, though of course it has WAY too much ease, so make at least one size, if not two or three, smaller then your measurements would indicate.

Material Notes

Green and pink rayon print from Mill End, invisible zip and poly lining.

What a cool top, the fabric manages to be cute and kind of pyschedelic all at once.

The most difficult thing is to find the perfect fabric for the pattern, or the other way round. You managed this absolutely well

My daughter just picked this pattern out yesterday. Your shirt looks better than the pictures on the pattern envelope. Love your choice of fabric.
