Description

I’ve wanted to make this kind of summer dress for a while. Very flirty print. With some accesories, could go for retro piece, or also be worn as more modern look. I used two patterns. For the top New Look 6699 , for the bottom Burda.
It was a lil challenging to work with such print, had a few mishaps while cutting out pieces, note for the future: mirror each pattern piece, left and right should be layered in different directions.

Material Notes

100% cotton , invisible zipper

Gingham and hearts are a match made in heaven. I really love how the sweetheart neckline matches the hearts on the dress, it’s very cute.

Thank you! I’m in love with this piece myself ;) you wouldn’t believe what a headache it was to line up the fabric with the pattern before cutting out. I only bought 2 yards, and made a mistake of folding it right sides together, and cutting out the pattern. It turned out I made 2 left patterns of everything and none for right. Almost run out of fabric, ended up sewing patches, like a Frankenstein dress lol
