Description

Silk brocade version of Sidonie, fashioned with homemade piping :) I absolutely love how this turned out, my first skirt!
To make this shorter version of the Sidonie skirt, I re-drafted the front and back panels onto new pattern pieces (i must say i love my carbon paper!) and painstakingly matched what i could of the floral design in the fabric. I made piping to emphasize the lines in this skirt.

Material Notes

9 year old leftover silk brocade, cotton muslin

Very nice. I like the piping and the seams you added. Did you make any changes to the fit besides shortening it? Very impressive to tackle a pattern change for your first skirt!

I think the piping adds a very nice effect. The fabric is beautiful too!
