Online swap with members of ClothPaperStudio. Challenge: design all pattern pieces to fit on a 6×8 piece of paper. Must incorporate a “word” of some type. My word is made from alphabet beads which I strung on an organdy ribbon. My girls are Diva, Flirt, Brat.
Base of doll is cut from stiff Timtex or Peltex interfacing. Each leg shape is wrapped in ribbon then I used a yo-yo shape to make bloomers for the uncovered thighs. I embellished as desired. I used button joint construction so there was a bit of movment or play between body parts. You can see buttons on back view.
Mixed variety included recycled silk ties, vinyl, cotton prints, tulle, silk ribbon, feathers, sequins, buttons. Faces from Fimo clay and molds, hair from rayon ribbons, novelty yarn, and feathers.

These are just the best little dolls I have seen in a long time. I love to look at handmade dolls and these are so different than any I have seen. They are just so fun to look at <3
