“Girls, girls, girls. You’re both such lovely girls. You’ll be sharing sugar in no time. Don’t fight. And if you do, fight nice…with pillows… and jim-jams.”
As the nights got cooler, it was high time for me to have a matchy flanny PJ set. The op shop gods assisted in my mission by providing a beautiful flannelette fitted sheet in great condition. Much better than the swill they sell at Spotlight!
The top is Simplicity 4603, a gorgeous unprinted vintage blouse pattern which I think I’ll make up into a real shirt in future. The pants are a pattern I’ve used before, which was drafted from a pair of Peter Alexander PJ pants. I feel I did a reasonable job working with an unprinted pattern for the first time, though I had some gripes. I could work around the pattern falling to pieces by tracing it off, but the front dart was trued incorrectly and the back dart not marked at all! Geez.
