I love a simple fitted dress and I can’t get enough of floral prints.
This is what I am wearing for out family Christmas.
The pattern had a lot of fitting issues. I had to take it in under the arms/aide seams of the bodice and at the hips and fiddle with the straps a lot. I never enjoy that aspect of sewing but it was worth it in the long run.
The dress is fully lined which gives it a nicer finish.

Cotton. It is a interesting weave. Its soft and frays a lot. I can’t recall the name of the fabric. At the time this fabric was about $16.95 per meter from spotlight.

Great dress! I just got this pattern for myself, so I’m glad I know what issues to expect from it.

Thanks…
Cool. I guess I may not be being totally fair since my fitting issues may be specific to me but they could have been more clear about the strap positioning.

Very nice…so versatile…you can dress it up or down. I have the same types of fitting issues with strappy tops or dresses, so I know your frustration. Your persistence was well worth it though, the dress looks great.

Your dress is absolutely beautiful and you look gorgeous in it!! As you know I love florals too and your fabric is lovely.I too have fitting issues with strappy dresses and many years ago I discovered that I am short from the bustline to the neck. It could be worth your while to do your exact measurements to a Burda measurement model. It has saved me many hours of frustration. So when I make a Burda pattern up from a magazine or even cut out a commercial pattern I have to reduce the shoulder depth and re-cut the neckline. It doesn’t take long. Have a very Merry Christmas.

Thank you :-)
That is a good idea. I have always wanted to understand how my figure differs and be able to make the appropriate adjustments straight away.
Merry Christmas to you too and floral fabrics forever!
