Burda Style For people who sew
Description
It was my dream to sew my own wedding dress with help of my mother and mother-in-law. It turned out to be quite an experience, especially as we had only the weekends to work on it.
The pattern is a combination of a pattern drawn by someone else, based on photos, and a Vogue pattern (V8190). The bolero is after a pattern from My Image (M1162).
Unfortunately, the petrol silk used for the dress and the lining of the bolero turned out to be blue on the pictures.
Both my father and my father-in-law were in charge of the bouquet, which is made out of organza “flowers” and colored metal wire.
My mom is responsible for the design of the headpeace. A cheap headpiece-base is covered with silk and organza to match it to the dress. Some leftover organza and colored metal wire were also used.
