This is a bit of a Franken-dress, made with the bodice of Simplicity 2442 and a dirndl skirt in place of the suggested one. I didn’t rouche the midriff section as there was enough going on with that print! I wanted to achieve a vintage 50s vibe with this dress and I think a photoshoot in the local launderette kinda helped my cause!
The dress is fully lined, including the skirt in a bright red. Careful understitching to ensure it didn’t peek over the top of the bodice.
