Burda Style For people who sew

so I finally bought burdastyle magazine, it’s the one for june 2010, I’m interested in several pieces in it, dresses especially.
But I’ve decided to start by making a pair of shorts because I wanted a beige, high waisted, one, and didn’t found what i had in mind in stores so I gave it a try.
That’s the first time I make shorts and it’s the most complicated pattern I’ve made so far (I even didn’t understoud how to make pockets on the back so I dropped it) but I’m quite happy with the result.

Wow, what a nice pair of first attempt shorts. I figure patterns are meant for personal interpretation anyways. As long as it doesn’t affect the structure, if I don’t like a feature or can’t easily to it… bye bye. I think I need to make some shorts now…

I think you have done a wonderful job! You can be very proud. And who needs pockets on the back, anyway! ;) P.S.: I am trying myself on the similar short with bow in that issue! Hope it turns out as good as yours.

Oooh they’re really nice and professional looking. Well done. I havent tried anything like shorts or trousers yet but its on my to do list! Was it really hard?
