Chose this because it looked like an easy project for beginners… I think I must be too extreme of a beginner because this took me forever!
Oddly, though Burda size 36 is exact to my measurements, the dress came out a little big all around and about two inches too big in the back and I’m pretty sure I didn’t make any cutting mistakes. So this was good practice altering. Also, a 20 inch zipper would have sufficed for a size 36.
All in all I think I’m proud of it! The fabric is a little stiff and bunches when it’s being lived in, but for a first project, hey.
woven cotton.

I’ve been sewing for years, (and years and years) and I am still afrid to make clothing… I am not the best when it come to making this fit. I can make a flawless handbag, but when it come to clothing, I choke up. You did a wonderful job, and I admire your ambition!

For a first project, it’s amazing! It looks quite good and although it isn’t a difficult pattern, I think it’s still rather a challenge for an absolute beginner. You did it, and it looks good! Congratulations!
